AudioSpaces are active spaces that invite imagination. As we draw on our own experiences to interpret the presented sonic worlds, we draw on the past and reinterpret it in these spaces. WhiteSpace is a project exploring the reflection and refraction of memory by inviting visual artists to visualise existing AudioSpaces. This collection is a starting point, but any AudioSpaces from the map may be used.

Welcome to the Gordon Soundscape. This website, created by composer and sound artist Pete Stollery, comprises a number of field recordings made throughout the former Gordon District which includes a large part of the county of Aberdeenshire in Scotland. It is part of a larger project which includes two pieces of electroacoustic music (Still Voices and Fields of Silence) and a sound installation (Resound). All parts of the project celebrate the sonically rich and diverse environment of Aberdeenshire. Gordon Soundscape was commisioned by Gordon Forum for the Arts in 2005. Recordings were made using a Sennheiser MKE-44P stereo microphone recording onto DAT, and OKM binaural microphones onto an iRiver (.wav file format).

Solo mar y nada más, solo olas que vendrán, solo espuma, solo sal, solo brisa y soledad. Solo cielo sobre el mar, solo el sol que ha de brillar, solo arena donde estar, solo calma, solo paz. Solo mar y nada más, donde el alma puede andar, sin prisas, sin preguntar, solo mar… y nada más.
